[PLAY] mode menu (Refer to P72 for how to select the menu.)
This function is useful if you want to reduce
the file size of the picture in cases when it
needs to be attached to an e-mail or
uploaded to a website.

1Select the picture and set it.

•The following pictures cannot be
resized.
–Pictures recorded in [ ]
(640k480 pixels)
–Pictures recorded in [ ]
(1920k1080 pixels)
–Motion images
–Pictures with audio
•It may not be po ssible to resize pictures
recorded with other equipment.

2Select the size and set it.

•Sizes smaller than the recorded picture
are displayed.
•When the aspect ratio setting is [ ].
–[ ]: 2048k1536 pixels
–[ ]: 1600k1200 pixels
–[ ]: 1280k960 pixels
–[ ]: 640k480 pixels
•When the aspect ratio setting is
[].
–[ ]: 1920k1080 pixels

3Select [YES] or [NO] and set it.

•When you select [YES], the picture is
overwritten.
When resized pictures are overwritten,
they cannot be restored.
•When the original picture is protected,
you cannot overwrite the resized
picture.
When you select [NO], a resized picture
is newly created.
