Advanced (Recording pictures)
Recording Motion Pictures
This can record high definit ion motion pictures compatib le with the AVCHD format
or motion pictures recorded in Motion JPEG.
Audio will be recorded in stereo.
•Close the flash. (It is recommend ed that you close the flash when recording
motion pictures. However, leaving the flash open will not result in a significant
difference in sound quality.)

Note

•Motion picture recorded conti nu ously in [MOTION JPEG] is up to 2 GB.
Only the maximum rec ordable time for 2 GB is displayed on t he screen.
•Maximum time to record motion pictures continuously with [AVCHDLite] is
13 hours 3 minutes 20 seconds. Screen will only display up to 13 hours
3 minutes 20 second s. How ever, the recording may stop before th at depending
on the remaining battery level .

Select the mode.

Start recording by pressing the

motion picture button.

•Release the mot ion pi ct ure bu tt on r igh t af te r
you press it.
•The recording state indicator (red) C will
flash while recording motion pictures.

Stop the recording by pressing the motion picture button

again.

•If the built-in memory or the card becomes full in the middle of recording,
the camera stops recording aut om atically.
