Setup menu
Change the unit’s settings if necessary. The settings remain
intact even if you switch the un it to standby.
1Press [HOME].
2Press [OK] to select “Setup”.
3Press [2] to select “Pla yer Settings”.
4Press [3,4] to select the menu and
press [OK].
5Press [3,4] to select the item and press
[OK].
If there are any other it ems, repeat these steps.
6Press [3,4,2,1] to select the option
and press [OK].
≥There may be differences in operation methods. If this happens, follow
the on-screen instructions for the operation.
DVD-Video Ratings
Set a ratings level to limit DVD-Video play.
≥Follow the on-screen instructions. Enter a 4-digit
password with the number buttons when the password
screen is shown.
BD-Video Ratings
Set an age limit of BD-Video play.
≥Follow the on-screen instructions. Enter a 4-digit
password with the number buttons when the password
screen is shown.
Audio Language
Choose the language fo r audio.
≥If “Original” is selected, the original language of each disc
will be selected.
≥Enter a code (>29) with the number buttons when you
select “Other ¢¢¢¢”.
Subtitle Language
Choose the language fo r the subtitle.
≥If “Automatic” is sele cted and the languag e selected for
“Audio Language” is not available, subtitles of that
language will automatically appear if available on that
disc.
≥Enter a code (>29) with the number buttons when you
select “Other ¢¢¢¢”.
Menu Language
Choose the language fo r the disc menus.
≥Enter a code (>29) with the number buttons when you
select “Other ¢¢¢¢”.
BD-Live Internet Access (>16)
You can restrict Internet acce ss when BD-Live funct ions are
used.
≥If “Allow (Limited)” is selected, Int ernet access is permitted
only for BD-Live conten ts which have conten t owner
certificates.
Mixed Data Disc Option
Select the playback contents on dis cs with both data files
and Video.
≥If “MP3/JPEG/MKV” is selected, the video menu function
is unavailable.
≥If “BDAV/AVCHD” is selected, data file cannot be played
back.
Subtitle Text
Select a suitable item according to the language used for
MKV subtitles text.
≥This item is displayed only after playing back a file.
≥BDAV is one of the video formats that are recorded on a BD-RE/BD-R.
