To disconnect USB cable safely

Select the icon in task tray displayed on the PC, and then click [Eject Panasonic Camcorder].

Depending on your PC’s settings, this icon may not be displayed.

About the status indicator of the unit

While the unit is connected to a PC, the status indicator lights up in green.

While the unit is accessing the SD card or the built-in memory, the status indicator illuminates in red. During access, do not disconnect the USB cable or remove the battery.

Do not use any other USB cables except the supplied one. (Operation is not guaranteed with any other USB cables.)

When this unit is connected to a PC using a USB cable while the unit is turned on, power is also supplied from the PC to this unit.

When performing reading/writing between a PC and an SD card, be aware that some SD card slots built into PCs and some SD card readers are not compatible with the SDHC Memory Card or SDXC Memory Card.

When using an SDXC Memory Card, check the following support site. http://panasonic.net/avc/sdcard/information/SDXC.html

Use as a card reader

Connect the unit to a PC and set the unit to card reader mode. (l 154)

The LCD monitor will turn off.

The Smart wizard screen is automatically displayed when HD Writer VE 2.0 is installed.

This unit is automatically recognised as an external drive of the PC. (l 156)

File is read from the SD card if one is inserted or the built-in memory if no SD card is inserted.

When you select an option other than [CARD READER], reconnect the USB cable.
