Care and Maintenance

Cleaning

Periodic cleaning of the printer is recommended, depending on the
environment in which the printer is used. You should clean the printer:
At least once a month
When the printer experiences frequent media jams
When print quality starts to deteriorate
To clean the outside of the printer:

Turn the power OFF.

Clean all the covers with a soft cloth, using any mild
commercial cleaner.
CAUTION:
Do not use benzine, thinner, aerosol cleaners, or any abrasive powder.
NOTE:
When using isopropyl alcohol with a lint-free cloth, make sure that the
alcohol is at least 90% pure, obtainable from your local pharmacy. (Do not
use rubbing alcohol; it can damage the printer.)
To clean the paper-pick rollers:

Slide the media tray out (you do not have to remove it) to
allow access to the paper-pick rollers.
