Notes when two or more projectors are used
• Make the communication conditions the sam e b etw e en o utput /input . I N an d OU T can b e i nd epende ntl y
set respectively. (When you set RS-422 OUT of the fi rst projector to 38 400 bps, s et RS-422 I N of the
second projector to 38 400 bps.)
• Make only one in VPS SYSTEM MASTER and make all of the remainder VPS SYSTEM SLAVE.
• Set ID number different in each projecto r.
• I/O to RS-422 OUT is not done during M AIN POWER OFF. Turn on MAIN POW ER of all projectors.
• Make only one of the each group in GROUP MASTER and make all the remainde r-GROUP SLAVE.
Attention:
• No command may be sent or received for 10 to 60 seconds a fter the lam p starts lightin g. Try sendi ng
any command after that period has elapsed .
• When sending several commands, be sur e to w ait f or a r espons e from the projector, and send the next
command after 0.5 seconds or more pass.
• It might take time by the time t he response returns because the co mmand is processed in the projecto r.
Set the time-out to ten seconds or more.
Notes:
• This projector will respond to the computer only in the following cases:
If the s e nt ID coincides with the projector ID,
VPS SYS TEM in RS232C settings of this projector is MASTER and the sent ID is ALL, or
If- Group (A—Z) of the sent ID coincides with G ROUP in RS232C settings of this projecto r and
GROUP in RS232C settings of this project or is MASTER.
• When the command is receive d during STNDBY, this projector returns the receiving command as it is as
a response (callback) if it is in the period w hen t he concerned command cannot be acc epted.
• Each setting/query command conce rning P IN P controls to information on the user being set by current
P IN P setting. Therefore, ER401 is returned as a response (callback) when P IN P setti ng is OFF.
