≥The zoom speed varies depending on the range over which the zoom lever is moved.

Enhanced optical zoom [SDR-S50]/[SDR-T55]/ [SDR-T50]/[SDR-H95]/ [SDR-H85]

It is possible to enhance the zoom magnification up to 78k without degrading the image quality when recording.

Digital zoom function

If the zoom magnification exceeds 78k (SDR-S45:40k) , then the digital zoom function will be activated. The maximum magnification provided by the digital zoom can be switched.

[RECORD SETUP] # [D.ZOOM] # desired setting[OFF]: Enhanced optical zoom only (Up to 78k)[100k]: Up to 100k[3500k]: Up to 3500k

≥If [100k] or [3500k] is selected, the digital zoom range is displayed in blue while zooming.

SDR-S45 only

[OFF]: Optical zoom only (Up to 40k)[70k]: Up to 70k[2000k]: Up to 2000k

≥If [70k] or [2000k] is selected, the digital zoom range is displayed in blue while zooming.

≥The larger the digital zoom magnification, the more the image quality is degraded.

≥If you take your finger off the zoom lever during zoom operation, the operation sound may be recorded. When returning the zoom lever to the original position, move it quietly.

≥When distant subjects are brought closer, they are focused at about 1.5 m or more.

≥When the zoom magnification is 1k, this unit can focus on a subject approx. 2 cm away from the lens.
