(Closed Captioned)
The STB contains abuilt-indecoder that is capable of providing a visual display of the
audio portion, The program viewed must provide Closed Captioning (CC) for the
televisionto display it.CC is displayedin the form oftext across the screen (white or
colored letters on black background). Itallows the viewer to read the dialogue of a
televisionprogram or otherinformation.

£3 In SET UP Menu,selectCC (ClosedCaption) MODE
£3 Press the • arrow to select _MODE
£3 Press the •arrow, then the • or • arrow to select NONE, CC1, CC2, CC3, CC4, Tt, "1"2,
T3 or T4.
CAPTION NONE -Use when ClosedCaption isnot desired.
CAPTION CC1 -For video related informationthat can bedisplayed (up to 4 lines ofscript
onthe screen,where ftdoes not obstruct relevant partsof the picture). Scriptcan be in any
language.
CAPTION CC2 -Another mode used for video related information.
CAPTION CC3 and CC4 - Other modes usedfor video related information.
TEXT T1- Blanks outa largeportion of the picture onthe television screen, and displays
program guide or any other informationcurrently being transmitted.
TEXT T2, T3 & T4 - Other Modes that display information and blank out a large portionof
the picture on the television screen.
£3 Press ACTION once, then the 4arrow to return to Roller Guide.
SET UP
Notes: To properly display Closed Caption, in some cases, the aspect ratio should be
changed from Zoom toFull
Do not set Close Captionon STBand TV at the same time. This willprevent captioning
from superimposing.
