Troubleshooting

Before requesting service for this unit, check the table below for a possible cause of the problem you are

experiencing. Some simple checks or a minor adjustment on your part may eliminate the problem and

restore proper operation.

Ifyou are indoubt about some of the check points, or if the remedies indicated in the table do not solve the

problem, consult your dealer or call 1.888-VIEW-PTV (843-9788) for assistance.

No power
No reception
No digital cable
Check that theAC power plugis securely plugged into the power outlet.
•Check that equipment is connected properly.
•Check that antenna is properly installed and oriented.
Check that theantenna or cable wireis connected properly.
i*Make sure the proper mode (antenna or cable) is selected.
Make sure your local cable provider is transmitting in 8VSB modulation
format.
•Make sure theproper cable mode is selected.
"Check that equipment is connected properly.
•Check ifthe channel is available.
No picture .Rerun the Automatic Channel Programming to make sure all available
channels are captured and stored into memory.
Rerun the Automatic Channel Programming to make sure all available

Picture is distorted .Make sure the proper display format is selected.
•Make sure the proper aspect ratio is selected.
Make surethe Closed Caption feature is turned off.
Zoom aspect cannot be selected .Make sure the remote control is in DTV mode.
No sound Check that equipment is connected properly.
Wrong audioand Normal video Check audio is setto stereo, mono, not SAP.(NTSC mode only)
•Check that the batteries are installed with the correct polarities (+ and -).
•The batteries are depleted: Replace them with new ones.
Point the remote control unitat the remotecontrol sensor and operate.
The remote control is not responding .Operate the remote control unit at adistance of not more than 23 feet (7
meters) from the remote control sensor.
Remove any obstacles between the remote control unit and remote
controlsensor.

the STB is not responding Make surethe remote control is in DTV or NTSC mode.
