Setting Flash
(See “Introduction to Optional Accessories” on page145)
When shooting stills, you can use the optional VW-
FLH3*1 Flash (P. 145). Refer to the Flash manual for
instructions.
*1 Only for VDR-M75PP/VDR-M95PP
*2 Without light emission, the “ A” display is cleared
when you press the Photo shot button halfway.
When using the flash, if you press the Photo shot
button half-way the indication will change to “ ”.
Note:
The DVD Video Camera automatically sets the shutter
speed between 1/800 and 1/30 second (between 1/800
and 1/10 second if Program AE has been set to Low
Light) depending on subject brightness (P. 8 0).
The available range of the Flash is about
1 - 4 m.
See “Switching Quality of Still Image (Quality)” on
page85 if you want to change the still quality mode.
Dark subjects may not be in clear focus even if the Flash
is used. It is recommended that you illuminate a subject
when recording in a dark place.
When you use accessories for hot shoe (only optional
VW-FLH3), the power is supplied by this DVD Video
Camera. (Only for VDR-M75PP/VDR-M95PP.)
The built-in flash cannot be used together with the
separately sold Flash.
If a separately sold Flash is connected, it is given priority.
(Only VDR-M95PP.)
