SEARCHING OPEN TIME FILES
You can only search for video within closed time files. For example, if it is 10:40 a.m., you can search all files with video prior to 10:00
a.m. However, you can close an open time file and then play it back. In this example, this would include video that has been recorded
since 10:00 a.m.
To play back recorded video for an open time file, use the following procedure:
1. Press the PLAYBACK button to enter PLAYBACK mode. This takes you to the last point in time that a search was done. The date
and time probably differ greatly from the current date and time.
2. Identify the date and time to view. In the above example, you may want to view video that was recorded at 10:30 a.m.
3. Set the date and time to the time frame to observe. Using the above example, you might enter 10:20 a.m.
NOTE: You can only search open time files that are at least five minutes old.
4. As soon as you press the ENTER button, the DX3100 closes the open time file. Now you can search and play back video up to the
time the file was closed.
When you close an open time file, the system updates the END time that appears on the monitor when you open PLAYBACK mode again.
The remaining portion of the normal time file (in this case, 10:20 to 11:00 a.m.) becomes the second time file for the 10:00 a.m. to 11:00
a.m. time slot. You created the first file when you closed the open time file. The unit creates the second file when it closes the open time
file at 11:00 a.m.
