d.Disk status appears in the contents pane. For this example, there are five unallocated dynamic drives. Perform the following steps:

(1)Right-click a disk in the Disk status pane (one that is labeled Dynamic). A shortcut menu appears.

(2)Select “Convert to Basic Disk.”

e. Repeat step 10d until all drives are converted to the Basic status.

11.A blue status bar represents formatted disks with active partitions and a black status bar represents unformatted disks (unallocated).

For example, Figure 19 shows four formatted disks (blue status bar), five partitions, and three unformatted disks (black status bar). Make a list of the original active partitions (blue status bar). This list will be needed later in the procedure when you are instructed to delete the original active partitions.
