This function recognizes the subject’s face, focuses, and performs exposure compensation when capturing images. The subject is given brighter and healthier look.

• When the camera does not recognize the subject’s face in I mode or Qmode, the camera will focus on the subject using the AF mode selected in [AF Mode] on the [A Rec. Mode] menu.

When the camera does not recognize the subject’s face in b mode or Rmode, the camera will focus on the subject using the standard AF Mode (Multiple).

The Face Recognition may not work if the subject is wearing sunglasses, has part of the face covered, or is not looking toward the camera.
