Use smart sound
Use smart soun d to apply pre-defi ned sound
settings.
1 Pr ess SOUND.
The»[Smart sound] menu appears.
2 Press to select one of the fol lowing
smart sound s ettings.
•[Standard]Adjusts sound set tings to
suit most enviro nments and types of
audio.
•[NEWS]Applies set tings for spoken
audio, such as news .
•[MOVIE]Applies sett ings for movies.
•[Personal]Applies the sett ings that
were customised in th e sound menu.
3 Press OK to confi rm your choi ce.
The selected smart sound setting is »
applied.
Manually adjust sound settings
1 Pr ess ( Home).
2 Pr ess to select [Setup] > [Sound].
The»[Sound] menu appears.
3 Press to select one of t he
following sound set tings.
•[Smart sound]Accesses pre-defi ned
smart sound s ettings.
•[Bass]Adjusts the bas s level.
•[Treble]Adjusts th e treble level.
•[Volume]Adjusts the volu me.
•[Balance]Adjusts the bala nce of the
right and left sp eakers.
•[Dual I-II]S elects audio langua ges if
dual sound broadc ast is available.
•[Mono/Stereo]Selects mono
or stereo if ste reo broadcast is
available.
•[TV speakers]Turns T V speakers
on or off. Settin g TV speakers
to automatic mode tu rns off the
speakers when co ntent from an
EasyLink-compliant home theatre
system is detec ted.
[Auto format](Not for
HDMI, YPbPr - E XT2/
EXT3 or PC mode .)
Enlarges the pic ture
automatically to best fi t
the screen. The s ubtitles
remain visible.
[Super zoom](Not for HD
and PC mode.) Removes
the black bars on th e side
of 4:3 broadcast s. There is
minimal distortion.
[4 :3]Shows the cla ssic 4:3
format.
[Subtitle zoom]Displays
4:3 pictures over th e full
area of the screen , with
sub-titles visible. Part of
the top of the pictur e is
clipped off.
[Movie exp.14:9](Not for
HD and PC mode.) Scale s
4:3 format to 14:9.
[Movie exp.16:9](Not for
HD and PC mode.) Scale s
4:3 format to 16:9.
[ Wide screen]Scales 4:3
format to 16:9.
[Unscaled]Available in
selected model s with
PC resolution un der
1024 x 768, only. Allows
maximum shar pness.
Some distortion may
be present due to th e
broadcaste r’s systems.
Set your PC resolut ion to
wide screen mode for best
results.
