TV channel issues
Previously installed channels do not appear in
the channel list:
Check that the cor rect channel list is •
selected.
Picture issues
The TV is on, but there is no picture:
Check that the ante nna is properly •
connected to the T V.
Check that the cor rect device is selec ted •
as the TV source .
There is sound but no picture:
Check that the pic ture settings are •
correctly s et.
There is poor TV reception from an antenna
connection:
Check that the ante nna is properly •
connected to the T V.
Loudspeakers , unearthed aud io devices, •
neon lights, hig h buildings and other lar ge
objects can in fl uence rece ption quality.
If possible, tr y to improve the receptio n
quality by changin g the antenna directi on
or moving devices away fr om the TV.
If reception on onl y one channel is poor, •
fi ne tune this channel.
There is poor picture quality from connected
devices:
Check that the devi ces are connected •
properly.
Check that the pic ture settings are •
correctly s et.
The TV did not save your picture settings:
Check that the TV l ocation is set to the •
home setting. Th is mode offers you the
fl ex ibility to change and save se ttings.
The picture does not ¯ t the screen; it is too
big or too small:
Try using a differen t picture format.•
The picture position is incorrect:
Picture signa ls from some devices may •
not fi t the screen corr ectly. Check the
signal output of t he device.
9 TroubleshootingThis section describes commonly encountered
issues and accompanying solutions.
General TV issues
The TV does not switch on:
Disconnect the pow er cable from the •
power outlet. Wait for o ne minute then
reconnect it .
Check that the power cab le is securely •
connected.
The remote control is not working properly:
Check that the rem ote control batteri es •
are correct ly inserted accord ing to the
+/- orien tation.
Replace the remote co ntrol batteries i f •
they are fl at or weak.
Clean the remote co ntrol and TV sensor •
lens.
The standby light on the TV blinks red:
Disconnect the pow er cable from the •
power outlet. Wai t until the TV cools
down before reconn ecting the power
cable. If the blin king reoccurs, cont act
Philips Consumer C are.
You forgot the code to unlock the TV lock
feature
Enter ‘8888’.•
The TV menu is in the wrong language.
Change the TV men u to your preferred •
language .
When turning the TV on/off/to standby, you
hear a creaking sound from the TV chassis:
No action is requ ired. The creakin g sound •
is normal expans ion and contraction of
the TV as it cools d own and warms up.
This does not impac t performance.
