Step 2 Download the latest software
1 Connect the USB s torage device to a
computer with internet connection.
2 Locate and open the le update.htm on
your USB storage d evice.
3 Read the on-screen i nstructions and cli ck
the Send ID button.
If a new sof tware is available , the update
is downloaded to the US B storage device.
4 Disconnect the USB storage device.
Step 3 Update the TV software
Caution
Do not discon nect the USB stor age device
from the TV dur ing the softwa re update.
If a power failure occurs duri ng the update, do
not remove the USB s torage device fro m the
TV. The TV will cont inue the update as soo n
as power comes back .

1 Connect the USB s torage device to the
TV.
An on-screen message prompts you to
update your TV software.
2 Select [Update] .
3 Select [Start] .
4 Follow the on-scree n instructions to
update the TV sof tware.
Update using a USB device
Connec t your USB device to the USB po rt at
the side of your TV.
1 If the softwar e update screen does not
appear automatically, select [Setup] >
[Software update] > [Local updates]
> [USB] to update th e TV software
manually.
2 Follow the on-scree n instructions to
complete the update.
Note
The TV r estarts af ter the softw are update is
complete.

Upload a wallpaper picture from a
USB device
Before p erforming this pr ocedure, be sure to
have available a USB s torage device containi ng
the picture you inte nd to use as wallpaper.
1 Connect the USB s torage device to the
TV.
The home menu appear s with
[Browse USB] already highlighted.
2 Press OK.
3 Pr ess to se lect a picture.
4 Pr ess SCENEA to set the picture as
personalised wallpaper.
5 Disconnect the USB storage device.
Update the TV software Philips continuously tries to improve its
products and we recommend that you update
the TV software when updates are available.

Before performing this procedure be sure to:
Se t aside some time to comple te the
entire update.
Have av ailable a USB storage d evice with
at least 64MB of s torage space.
Have a ccess to a computer with a US B
port and inter net access.

1 Pr ess ( Home )
2 Select [Setup] > [Software update] >
[Update assistant] > [Act ion] .
3 Select [Start] .
4 Follow the on-scree n instructions to
download the TV identi cation le to the
USB storage dev ice.
