Read SMS
The Read SMS option in the Messages
menu allows you to consult the list of
Read SMS
SMS you have saved and received, and that are first stored on your SIM card. Several options allow you to then manage them directly on your mo- bile phone.
Received Messages
- The messages you have received and already read are
labelled with . Messages received but not yet read are labelled with a sealed envelope icon. Select a message and press ,to read it. When displayed, press ,to access the following options:
- Reply to the sender,
- Forward the selected message (choose the recipient in the phonebook or enter a phone number manu- ally),
Messages
Save
Allows you to store the current message and its associated icon and melody if any. Press ,to confirm.
Send now
Save
This allows you to send the current mes- sage you have entered (to learn how to enter text and numbers, see “Text or number entry” page 18). Press ,to confirm.

Together with an attachment

This option allows you to attach a sound, icon or ani- mation to your message and press ,to confirm and attach it to your message. Depending on the type of file you want to attach, select Add graphic to attach a bit- map image or an animation, and/or Add sound to at- tach a melody. Select the sub-menu of your choice, then one of the available items in the list that appears, and press ,to confirm and attach it to your mes- sage.

You can send up to 2 attachments of 2 different types together with your SMS. Animations and pictures are exclusive: if you first select an animation, then a pic- ture, only the picture will be taken into account and vice-versa.

Some icons, animations and sounds are pre-defined and supplied as standard with your mobile phone. Per- sonal pictures and sounds, e.g., that you have received via SMS or e-mail and then stored in the relevant men- us, will automatically appear in the «Own» sub-menus (Own melodies, Own animations, etc.). You cannot send «Own» items via SMS when they are copyright- protected.
