Play a disc

Caution
Do not place any obje cts other th an discs into the d isc
compartment .
Do not touch the dis c optical lens i nside the disc
compartment .
1 Press to open the disc compartment.
2 Insert a dis c with its label fa cing up.
3 Press to clos e the disc compar tment and
start di sc play.
To view disc play, turn on the T V to the
correct vie wing channel for this p roduct.
To stop disc play, press .
Note
Check the types of discs supported (see “Specifi cations”
> “Play media”) .
If the passwor d entry menu i s displayed, en ter the
password befo re you can play the l ocked or rest ricted
disc (see “Adjust se ttings” > “Pr eference Setu p” >
[Parental Control]).
If you pause or sto p a disc, the scre en saver appea rs after
10 minutes of inac tivity. To deact ivate the scr een saver,
press any but ton.
After you paus e or stop a disc and n o button is pre ssed
within 30 minu tes, this pro duct automa tically swi tches
to standby.

Disc content structure

The struc ture of a disc content is ge nerally divide d
as shown below.
[title/chapter] (t itle/chapter) refe rs to the
contents on a BD/DV D.
[track] (track) r efers to the content s on an
audio CD.
[folder/fi le] (folder/fi le) refers to the contents
on a disc in MP3/W MA/JPEG form at.

6 Once connected , an IP address is obt ained
automatically.
If no IP address is o btained, selec t
[Retry] and press OK to try to obtain
the IP address a gain.
7 Select [Finish] in the menu, then pr ess OK to
exit.

This produc t does not suppor t automati c detection of a n
Ethernet cr ossover cable .
Loading BD- Live content fr om the intern et may take
some time, dep ending on the fi le size and the spe ed of
the interne t connection .

Use Philips EasyLink

This product supports Philips EasyLink which uses the
HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) protocol.
You can use one single remote control to control
EasyLink-compliant devices that are connected
through HDMI connectors.
Note
To enable the Easy Link feature , you must turn o n the
HDMI CEC oper ations on the T V and on other de vices
connected to T V. Refer to the TVs/d evices manual fo r
details.

One-touch play

1 Press the STANDBY butto n to turn on this
product.
The TV (if the TV supports one-touch play) »
automatically turns on and switches to the
correct video-in channel.
If a disc is loaded in this product, disc play »
automatically starts.

One-touch standby

1 Press and hold th e STANDBY button on the
remote control fo r more than 3 seconds .
All the connected devices (if the device »
supports one-touch standby) automatically
switch to standby.
