If you used the Player’s Y PbCb PrCr jacks to connect to a TV, set SCAN MODE correctly. This unit’s Video Output jacks send either regular Component Video or Progressive Scan Video. Choose the setting that matches the video compatibilities of your TV. Before you begin, make sure VIDEO OUTPUT is set to CVBS/YCbCr. See details on page 34. No picture will appear if the selected SCAN MODE does not match your TV connection. In this case, always press EJECT / button, then numerical keypad “0” repeatedly until the picture appears. If a disc was in the player it will eject.

1 Press Stop 9 twice to stop play completely, if necessary.

2 Press SYSTEM MENU, then press 1 or 2 repeatedly to select the VIDEO menu.

Press 4 repeatedly to select VIDEO OUTPUT (CVBS/S-

VIDEO, etc.), then press 1 or 2 to choose CVBS/YPbPr, then

3 press OK.

Helpful Hint

If you lose the DVD picture because the SCAN MODE setting is wrong, press

“EJECT A ”.Then press the Number “0” button to reset the Video.The DVD image should reappear on the TV screen.

Pressing “0” toggles the setting of SCAN MODE between INTERLACED and PROGRESSIVE only when Video Output is set to “CVBS/YPbPr”. (if a disc was in the player it will eject.)
