Connecting to a TV and a Stereo

1Connect the Player’s COAXIAL jack orOPTICAL jack to
the Stereo’s COAXIAL DIGITAL AUDIO INjack or
OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO IN jack. You only need to use one
of the jacks, not both.
Use an appropriate digital audio cable (not supplied).See your
electronics retailer for details and availability.
2Connect the supplied video cable to the Player’s yellow
VIDEO (VIDEO OUT) jack and to the TV’s
VIDEO IN jack.The supplied video cable has yellow markings.
3Plug the power cords of the DVD Player,Stereo, and TV
into an active power outlet. Press STANDBY-ONyyon the
front of the DVD Player to turn it on.
4Turn on the Stereo and set it to the correct Audio In
channel or sound source. Refer to the Stereo owner’s manual for
details.
5Turn on the TV. Set it to the correct Video In channel. See
your TV owner’s manual for details.Or, go to your lowest TV
channel (01 or 02) and change channels downward until you see the
blue DVD screen on the TV.
Set DIGITAL OUTPUT and
LPCM OUTPUT accordingly.

Your Stereo must support
MPEG2 or Dolby DigitalTM.
