If your receiver has a MPEG 2 or Dolby Digital™ decoder,

1Connect the COAXIAL or OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT of the DVD Player to the COAXIAL or OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO IN on your receiver.
