4Zet een kom (met een inhoud van 1,5 liter) onder de koffietuit om het water op te vangen.

5Druk op de aan/uitknop 3 (1) en druk aansluitend de 1-kops knop q en de 2-kops knop qq tegelijkertijd kort in (2).

,, Tijdens het doorspoelen wordt het water in het waterreservoir door de machine gespoeld.Terwijl dit gebeurt, komt er water uit de tuit. Dit kan enige tijd duren (ongeveer 90 tot 150 seconden). De machine schakelt automatisch uit wanneer het doorspoelen is beëindigd. Het doorspoelen maakt meer geluid dan gewoon koffiezetten.

Ontkalken

Opmerking: Deze machine is alleen bedoeld voor huishoudelijk gebruik. De machine is niet bedoeld voor professioneel gebruik.

Wanneer ontkalken

-- Ontkalk de SENSEO® koffiemachine zoals hieronder beschreven wanneer de CALC CLEAN-indicator gaat branden (nadat u circa 1000 koppen SENSEO® koffie of 250 koppen SENSEO® koffievarianten met melk hebt gezet). U kunt de SENSEO® koffiemachine ook vaker (ten minste elke 3 maanden) op dezelfde manier ontkalken. Het ontkalken duurt ongeveer 40 minuten.

Waarom ontkalken

Tijdens het gebruik ontwikkelt zich kalk in de machine. Het is zeer belangrijk dat de SENSEO® koffiemachine wordt ontkalkt wanneer de CALC CLEAN-indicator gaat branden. U moet het apparaat ontkalken omdat:

-- het de levensduur van uw SENSEO® koffiemachine verlengt -- dit ervoor zorgt dat uw koffiekop volledig wordt gevuld

-- dit ervoor zorgt dat de koffie zo warm mogelijk is

-- de machine dan tijdens het koffiezetten minder geluid maakt -- het storingen voorkomt

Als de ontkalkingsprocedure niet juist wordt uitgevoerd, blijven er kalkresten achter in de machine. Hierdoor ontwikkelt de kalk zich sneller en kan de machine permanent en onherstelbaar worden beschadigd.

Gebruik de juiste ontkalker

Alleen ontkalkers op basis van citroenzuur zijn geschikt voor het ontkalken van de SENSEO® machine. Dit type ontkalker ontkalkt de machine zonder deze te beschadigen. Zie ‘Ontkalkingsprocedure’ hieronder voor de juiste hoeveelheid. Het ontkalkermengsel kan slechts eenmaal worden gebruikt. Na gebruik is het ontkalkermengsel niet meer actief.
