If the language yo u have set is not available o n •
the disc, the disc u ses its own defaul t language.
For some discs , the subtitle/au dio language can
•
only be changed fr om the disc menu.
To select the langu ages that are not lis ted
•
in the menu, sele ct [Others] . Then check
the Language Co de list at the back of this
user manual and e nter the respect ive 4-digit
language code.
[Parental]
Restricts acce ss to discs that are unsui table
for children. The se types of discs must be
recorded with ratings.
1) Press OK .
2) Select a rating leve l, then press OK .
3) Press the Numeric butt ons to enter the
password.
Note
Rated discs ab ove the level you set in •
[Parental] require a pa ssword to be played.
The ratings a re country-d ependent. To allow
•
all discs to play, selec t ‘ 8 ’.
Some discs have r atings printed o n them but
•
are not recorde d with ratings. T his function
has no effect on s uch discs.
Tip
You can set or change the pa ssword (see •
‘Preference s’ > [Password] ).
[PBC]
Turns off or on the content men u of VCDs/
SVCDs with PBC (play back control) feature .
• [On] - Displays index me nu when you
load a disc for play.
• [Off] - Skips the menu and sta rt play
from the rst title.

[Preferences] .
1 Press SETUP .
»[General Setup] menu is displayed.
2 Press to select [Preferences] , then
press .
3 Select an option, then pr ess OK .
4 Select a setting, then p ress OK .
To return to the pr evious menu, •
press BACK .
To exit the menu, p ress • SETUP .
