Connection to a PABX

If you use your Oniso on a telephone line connected to a PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange), instead of a direct connection to the public telephone network, it may be necessary to change certain settings on your telephone.

Selecting the network type

To connect your Oniso to a PABX you may need to change the network setting.

1Press R, then press + to display 6(783. Press o.

2Press -until 1(7:25. is displayed, then press o.

3Use +and -to choose one of the possible network settings from the selection available. Press o.

Your handset will beep to indicate that the new network type has been set.

4Press Rto leave menu mode.

Depending on your PABX, you may need to try different network settings before you find the best setting.

Note:

If you want to reconnect your Oniso to the public network again, donít forget to set

the network type to PUBLIC. The optimum settings for the public network will automatically be reset.

Setting the recall type

The recall type function defines what signals your telephone sends to the PABX when the recall Rkey is pressed during a call. You need to select one of the

PABX settings in the 1(7:25. menu before you can choose a recall type.

1Press R, then press + to display 6(783. Press o.

2Press -until 5(&$// is displayed, then press o.

3Press +or -to select LONG FLASH or SHORT FLSH, then press o.

Your handset will beep to indicate that the new recall type has been set.

4Press Rto leave menu mode.
