Learn a key

IIf you miss certain functions from your original remote control of the

SRU 5060, the SRU 5060 can learn these functions from the original remote control.You can store a fuction under any of the available keys of the

SRU 5060, except LEARN, SELECT and SHIFT. Please, note that any function already stored under a key will be deleted.

Example for VCR:

Make sure you have the original VCR remote control at hand.

1Select the device mode VCR, with the SELECT key.

2Press the LEARN key and the target key on the SRU 5060 simultaneously for 5 seconds, until VCR in the selector window blinks twice and then remains lit.

3Place both remote controls on a flat surface (like a coffee table) and aim them head-to- head with about 5 - 10 cm in between.

4Press the button you want to copy on the original remote control.

– If the SRU 5060 has learned the code,VCR in the selector window blinks twice to confirm the signal is stored.

– If VCR blinks once for a longer period, the IR signal is not learned by the SRU 5060. Please, try a few times and make sure the remote controls are aligned as described in step 3.

If the SRU 5060 cannot learn the code after several times trying, it is possible that:

The IR signal of your original device is out of range (the SRU 5060 can only learn IR signals with a carrier signal of 30-60kHz.

The memory of the SRU 5060 is full.

The SRU 5060 stopped the learning process after 20 seconds if no IR signals are found. Check if your original remote control is working correctly.

Restoring the original functions of your remote control

1Keep keys 1 and 6 on the SRU 5060 pressed simultaneously for three seconds, until until one of the device indicators (TV, DVD, STB,VCR, CD, AMP) lights up window.
