Switching the TV system

Ifyou play recordings made on another video recorder or if
yourecord from another source, this may lead to problems
withthe automatic TV system switch-over. You can switch off
theautomatic TV system switch-overas follows.
aSelectthe TV system with the SYSTEM buttonbefore you
startrecording, or while you play a cassette.
bIfyou select a different programme number or eject the
cassette,the video recorder will automatically switch to
’automatic’again.

Setting the on-screen display (OSD)

Youcan switch the on-screen display of the current operating
informationon or off.
aSwitchon the TV set and select the programme number
forthe video recorder.
bPressthe MENU buttonon the remote control. The main
menuwill appear.

ON:Shows the OSD for a few seconds only.
OFF:Switches off the OSD.
eConfirmwith the OK button.

Automatic switch-off (tuner mode)

Ifyou do not use the video recorder for a few minutes in
certainmodes (e.g.: STOP), it will switch to standby
automatically.You can cancel this function to use the video
recorderas a television receiver (tuner).
aHoldthe STOPhbutton until +appears on the video
recorderdisplay.
bSelectthe programme number you want with the Pror
Pqbuttonor with the number buttons 0-9 .
cSwitchoff the video recorder with the TV/STANDBYm
button,if you no longer want to watch TV.
