Thevideo recorder needs the following information for every
programmedrecording:
*the date on which the recording is to be made
*the programme number for the TV channel
*the start and stop time of the recording
*VPS/PDC on or off
*the recording speed (SP/LP)
Thevideo recorder stores all the informationmentioned above
ina TIMER block. You can programme up to 6 TIMER blocks,
onemonth in advance.
’VPS’ (Video Programming System)/
’PDC’ (Programme Delivery Control)
With’VPS/PDC’, the TV station controls the beginning and the
lengthof the programmed recording. This means that the
videorecorder switches itself on and off at the right time even
ifa TV programme you have programmed begins earlier or
finisheslater than expected.
Usuallythe start time is the same as the VPS/PDCtime. If,
however,in the TV guide, in addition to a TV programme’s start
time,a different VPS/PDC time is given, e.g.: ’20.15 (VPS 20.14)’,
youmust enter ’20.14’ as the start time exactly to the minute.
Ifyou want to enter a time that differs from the VPS/PDC time,
youmust switch off ’VPS/PDC’.
DWithmost TV stations the VPS/PDC time is always the
sameas the start time.
Programming with ’VIDEO Plus+’
Allthe information required for a programming is contained
encodedin the PlusCode programming number.
aSwitchon the TV set. If required, select the programme
numberfor the video recorder.
bPressthe TIMERsbutton on the remote control.
Theprogramming mode selected last is marked.
cSelectthe line ’VIDEOPLUS PROGRAMMING’with the
menubuttons P=or P;andconfirm with the menu
button OK .
dEnterthe entire PlusCode number (up to 9 digits) printed
inyour TV guide next to the start time of a TV programme.
Ifyou made a mistake,clear with the CLEAR(CL) button.

DIf’PLUSCODE NUMBER WRONG’ appears on the TV
screen,you entered an incorrect PlusCode number or the
incorrectdate. Repeat the entry or end with the
TIMERsbutton.
DIf’WEEKEND PROGRAMMING - NOT POSSIBLE’ appears
onthe TV screen, the date was incorrectly entered.
’Daily’programming can only be used for recordingsto
bemade from Mondays toFridays inclusive.
DUsethe SELECT button to switch ’VPS/PDC’on oroff in
’START’.
DUsethe SELECT button to selectthe recording speed ’SP’
