36 Timer Recording With the VCR Plus+ Programming System

Follow the steps below to program a timer recording using the PlusCode programming numbers in your TV guide. Before you begin, make sure:

Channels are programmed (page 12).

The VCR Plus+ and Cable/TV channel numbers are entered (pages 34-35).

The clock is set (page 15).

There is a tape in the VCR. Make sure the tape’s record tab is intact and the tape is long enough to record the program(s).

The VCR light appears on the display panel of the VCR. If it does not, press the VCR/TV button once.

Complete each step within 60 seconds of completing the previous step. If you don’t, you may return to step 1.

Helpful Hints

ALL PROGRAMS IN USE will appear on-screen at step 1 if all timer recording slots are full. See page 33 to clear a timer recording slot.

If CODE ERROR flashes after you enter the PlusCode programming number and press the VCR PLUS+/ENTER button, the number you entered was incorrect or too short. If this happens, enter the cor- rect number.

CLASH may flash on the screen at step 2 or at step 5. This means that the timer recording you just pro- grammed and another timer record- ing overlap, and thus the current timer recording will not be carried out.

If the end of the tape is reached during a timer recording, recording will stop. The VCR will eject the tape and turn itself off.
