Setting the rear output andsubwoofercontroller
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (FULL) or subwoofer (S.W) con-
nection.If you switch the rear outputsetting
toS.W, you can connect a rear speaker lead
directlyto a subwoofer without using an auxili-
aryamp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (FULL). When rear output is
connectedto full range speakers (when FULL
isselected), you can connect other full range
speakers(REAR) or a subwoofer (S.W) to the
RCArear output.
!Whenthe multi-channel processor (e.g.,
DEQ-P8000)is connected to this unit, you
cannotoperate this function.

#Whenthe rear output setting is S.W, you can-

!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you turn the subwoofer output
on(refer to Using subwoofer output on page
33).
!Ifyou change this setting, subwoofer output
inthe audio menu return to the factory set-
tings.
!Bothrear speaker lead outputs and RCA rear
outputare switched simultaneously in this
setting.
Changing languages for CAUTION
Someoperations on this unit are prohibited
whiledriving or needs to be paid a careful at-
tentionwhen operating. In such case, a cau-
tionappears on the display. You can change
thelanguage of the cautions at this setting.
%TouchCAUTION LANGUAGE on the in-
itialmenu to select yourdesired language.
Eachtime you touch CAUTION LANGUAGE it
selectslanguages for CAUTION in the follow-

Switching the sound muting/attenuation
Soundfrom this system is muted or attenu-
atedautomatically when the signal from the
equipmentwith mute function is received.
