4TAP (AUTO) button

Switches the BPM measurement mode.

AUTO mode: The [TAP (AUTO)] button turns off and the BPM is measured automatically from the audio signal being input. The [AUTO] mode is set when this unit’s power is turned on.

TAP mode: The [TAP (AUTO)] button lights and the BPM is input manually by tapping the [TAP (AUTO)] button. When the [TAP (AUTO)] button is pressed, the TAP mode is set.

!The BPM measuring range in the AUTO mode is BPM = 70 – 180. For some tracks, it may not be possible to measure the BPM correctly.

!BPMs set in the TAP mode are only valid for the BEAT FX function.

5SOUND COLOR FX (NOISE, PITCH, CRUSH, FILTER) buttons

These turn the respective SOUND COLOR FX on and off.

6COLOR control

This changes the parameters of the SOUND COLOR FX of the different channels.

Using the beat effect function

This unit is equipped with four effect buttons. Effects can be applied to the sound by pressing one of the effect buttons.

Press one of the [BEAT FX (TRANS, FLANGER, ECHO, ROLL)] buttons.

Inputting the BPM manually

1 Press the [TAP (AUTO)] button.

rhythm with the beat (in quarter notes) of the sound being played.

The average value of the interval at which the [TAP (AUTO)] button is tapped with a finger is displayed in the auto loop/effect display section.

!To set the mode back to AUTO, press the [TAP (AUTO)] button for over 1 second.

SOUND COLOR FX

These effects change in association with the [COLOR] controls for the different channels.
