Selecting a cross-overfrequency
Youcan select a frequency, under which
soundsare reproduced through the subwoo-
fer.If the installed speakers include one whose
sizehas been set to SML, you can select a fre-
quency,under which sounds are reproduced
througha LRG speaker or subwoofer.
1 PressA and hold until FRONT appears
inthe display, then press A to select HPF.
AfterFRONT is displayed, press Auntil HPF
appearsin the display.
2 Pressmor nto select the speaker
tobe adjusted.
Eachpress of mor nselects the speaker
inthe following order:
F(frontspeakers)C(center speaker)R
(rearspeakers)S(subwoofer)
3 Pressror qto select cross-over fre-
quencyfor the selected speaker.

Note
Selectinga cross-over frequency is to set a cross-
overfrequency of the subwoofer s L.P.F.(low-pass
filter)and that of the SML speaker H.P.F.(high-
passfilter). The cross-over frequency setting has
noeffect if the subwoofer is set to OFF and other
speakersare set to LRG or OFF.
Adjusting the speakeroutput levels
Youcan readjust the speaker output levels
usinga test tone while listening to music.
1 PressA and hold until FRONT appears
inthe display, then press A to select FRT-L.
AfterFRONT is displayed, press Auntil FRT-L
appearsin the display.
2 Pressmor nto select the speaker
tobe adjusted.
Eachpress of mor nselects the speaker
inthe following order:
FRT-L(front speaker left)CENT (center
speaker)FRT-R(front speaker right)RER-R
(rearspeaker right)RER-L (rear speaker left)
SUB.W(subwoofer)
#Youcannot select speakers whose size is set
atOFF.
3 Pressror qto adjust the speaker
outputlevel.
Eachpress of ror qincreases or de-
creasesthe speaker output level. +10 10 is
displayedas the level is increased or de-
creased.
4 PressBAND to return to the playback
display.
Note
Toadjust the speaker output levels in this mode is
thesame as making the speaker output levels at
TTONE. Both provide the same results.
