4TOP MENU – Displays the top menu of a DVD disc in the play position—this may be the same as pressing MENU (page 12).

SHIFT+SETUP – Use to make various system and surround sound settings (page 12, 13, 25, 34 and 35).

5Cursor, ENTER and tuning buttons

Use the cursor buttons to navigate on-screen displays and menus.

ENTER – Selects an option or executes a command.

TUNE +/– – Tunes the radio.

ST +/– – Selects station presets when listening to the radio.

6HOME MENU – Displays (or exits) the on- screen menu for Initial Settings, Play Mode functions, etc.

SHIFT+MCACC – Starts the Auto MCACC setup (page 9).

7Sound controls

SOUND RETRIEVER – Press to restore CD quality sound to compressed audio sources (page 16).

SURROUND – Selects a Surround mode (page 14) or switches to stereo playback

(page 15).

ADVANCED – Selects a Pioneer original surround mode (page 15) .

SOUND – Accesses the sound menu to adjust the tone, bass and treble, etc. (page 14 to 16).

9TV CONTROL buttons

These control Pioneer plasma displays.

10 SHIFT

Press to access the controls highlighted in green.

11OPEN/CLOSE

Opens/closes the disc tray.

12DVD controls

AUDIO – Selects audio channel/language (page 21).

SUBTITLE – Displays/changes the subtitles (page 21).

ANGLE – Changes camera angle during DVD multi-angle scene playback (page 22).

ZOOM – Changes the screen zoom level (page 22).

13MENU – Press to display a DVD disc or USB menu, or the Navigator (page 18 and 24).

SHIFT+SR+ – Switches the SR+ mode on/ off (page 33).

14RETURN – Returns to a previous menu screen.

SHIFT+TEST TONE – Outputs the test tone (for speaker setup) (page 25).

15SLEEP

Press to set the sleep timer (page 35).

16 MUTE

Mutes the sound (press again to cancel).

17VOLUME +/– Adjusts the volume.
