4. Place the subject within the Area AF frame. The focus frame will automatically change to a focus-area indicator to confirm the subject.

	•	The Area-AF mode (p. 37) is automatically set
		when the camera is turned on.
Area-AF frame	•	The focus-area indicator shows the area the
		camera will focus on.

•The shape of the focus-area indicator varies with the subject.
