About the Flash

This camera is equipped with 3 ﬂash modes.

1. Auto Flash (default setting)

a. The camera determines when ﬂash is needed and ﬁres the ﬂash automatically.

b.When the ﬂash is recharged and full (the green Flash Ready LED will light up), press the Shutter-Release Button to take a ﬂash photograph. (Fig. 12)

2.Fill-in Flash

a. This camera also has a Fill-in ﬂash function that helps obtain better pictures in daylight shooting when your subject is in a shadow or has their back to

the light source. The ﬂash will ﬁre regardless of the lighting conditions.

b.Press and hold the Fill-in Flash Button while, at the same time, pressing the Shutter-Release Button to take a picture with Fill-in ﬂash. (Fig. 13)

Note:

•Please wait for the green Flash Ready LED to light up before taking your next ﬂash picture.

•The green Flash Ready LED will go into sleep mode after about 1 minute. The camera will re-awaken when the Shutter-Release Button is pressed or by closing and re-opening the Lens Cover.
