Connecting To an Amplifier With Dolby Digital or DTS Decoder

Connect the DVD Player’s DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack (coaxial) to the corresponding input jack on your amplifier with a digital (coaxial) audio cable (not supplied).

When DVDs encoded in Dolby Digital or DTS are played, the Dolby Digital or DTS bit stream is outputted from the player’s coaxial digital audio output. When the DVD player is connected to a Dolby Digital or DTS decoder, you can enjoy theater quality audio in your home. A coaxial audio cable is required for these connections, as shown below.

NOTE: If the amplifier has Dolby AC-3 decoding function, set the output format of digital audio signal in setup menu to “SPDIF/RAW”.
