Loading the Batteries

Loosen the hand strap (a) to access the battery

compartment. Open the battery compartment a b door (b) by pushing on finger grip area and

swinging the door downwards. Insert 2 AA bat- teries as shown. Close the battery compartment door and tighten hand strap.

Note: If camera will not be used for an extended period of time remove batteries and store separately. Use of the camera in extreme heat or cold will shorten battery life.

CAUTION: To avoid electrical shock, camera should not be exposed to or immersed in water or other fluids, disassembled, or operated if dropped or damaged. For repair information contact nearest ser- vice center.

Alkaline batteries are recommended. The batteries used in this device may present a risk of one or more of the following occurrences: release of toxic materials, release of flammable vapours, rise in surface temperature. DO NOT incinerate or mutilate batteries. DO NOT recharge alkaline batteries.

DO NOT mix battery types (Alkaline, NiMH and Nicad). Mixing battery types may present a risk of fire or explosion. When replacing batteries, replace all batteries at the same time. Mixing fresh and dis- charged batteries could increase internal cell pressure and rupture the discharged batteries.

Dispose of used batteries promptly. Keep away from children. DO NOT disassemble and DO NOT dis- pose of in fire. Check with local codes for possible special disposal instructions.
