SPEAKER PLACEMENT

Polk Audio LCFX Surround Loudspeakers give you nearly endless placement options. But remember that where you place your surround speakers requires some careful thought, as installation requires that you cut a hole in your wall or ceiling.

Left/Right Orientation: LCFX Surround Speakers have a left/right orientation, and each speaker is clearly marked on its baffle for installation on either the right or left. Right and left are defined from your listening area as you face your system’s center channel.

Directing the Driver (LC80FX)

The fixed 15° angled driver in the LC80FX allows you to direct the midrange towards your listening area when used for front stage (left-center-right). When used as rear surrounds or as 6.1 or 7.1 back speakers, direct the driver towards the listening area for a more direct sound field or toward a wall for a more diffuse sound field.

IMAGING

Solid/Diffuse Switch (LC65FX/LC80FX)

LCFX Surround Loudspeakers offer switchable “Solid” and “Diffuse” imaging patterns to create the surround effect you desire.

A “Diffuse” image is defined as one which creates a “cloud” of sound; think of the effect as ambient sounds which fill the environment all around you.

A “Solid” image is one which creates a more pin- point sound; sound is more directional and localized. Ultimately you are the best judge of what kind of surround imaging you prefer.

The schematic drawing of the room represents an ideal placement for all speakers in either a 6.1 or 7.1 speaker system.

This innovative speaker successfully blends advanced audio technology with aesthetic appeal, making it a popular choice for residential and commercial applications alike.

One of the standout features of the LC65FX is its dynamic balance technology. This proprietary design minimizes unwanted resonances, resulting in clear and distortion-free sound reproduction across a broad frequency response. With a frequency range that spans from 40 Hz to 25 kHz, the LC65FX handles deep bass notes and crisp highs seamlessly, providing a well-rounded listening experience.

An essential characteristic of Polk Audio speakers is their built-in PowerPort technology, an advanced bass port design that enhances overall low-frequency performance. This technology ensures a significant increase in bass output without distortion, allowing users to enjoy robust sound even in open spaces.

The LC65FX also features a 6.5-inch polypropylene composite woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. The woofer delivers punchy, rich mid-bass while the tweeter ensures clear and detailed highs. This combination makes the speaker suitable for various audio content, whether it's music or cinematic experiences. Additionally, the speaker is engineered with a swivel tweeter that allows for precise sound directionality, ensuring optimal audio placement within any room setup.

Installation is made easy with the LC65FX thanks to its simple, user-friendly design. The speaker comes with a paintable grille, allowing for easy customization to match any décor. Furthermore, the speaker's low-profile design means it can blend seamlessly into ceilings without drawing attention away from the room's aesthetic.

The build quality of the LC65FX is robust, featuring moisture-resistant materials that make it suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas. This durability ensures that the speaker will withstand various environments, making it a reliable choice for any audio setup.
