6. Slide the chain between thehousing
and the sprocket. Place chain
aroundthe sprocket and fit the drive
links into the guide bar groove and
then aroundg uidebar nose.

7. Hold the guide bar against the saw
frameand installthe bar clamp plate.
Be sure the tab on the bar clamp
plateis toward the rear of bar.

8. Secure the guide bar and bar clamp
platewith the bar nuts; tightenfinger
tightonly.
CAUTION: If saw chain is installed
backwards, the saw will vibrate exces-
sively and willnot c ut wood.

SStore in a clean dry area.
SLightlyoil external metal surfaces and
guide bar.
SOilthe chain and wrap it in heavy pa-
per or cloth.
SUse bar sheath to cover bar.
