ON/STOP SWITCH

The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.

THROTTLE TRIGGER

The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.

THROTTLE LOCK--OUT

The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed before you can squeeze the thrott le
trigger. This feature prevents y ou from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.

FASTIDLE LOCK

The FASTIDLE LOCK holds the thrott le trig-
ger in the starting position. Activate the fast
idlelock bypressing the throttle lock --outand
squeezing the throttle trigger. WIth the
throttle trigger squeezed, pres s the fast idle
lock. Release the throttle loc k--outand trig-
ger while holding the fast idle lock button.

CHOKE KNOB

The CHOKE KNOB activates the choke to
provide additional fuel to the engine during
cold starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activat es manu-
allyi ft he front hand guard is pushed forward.
Thechain brak e is disengaged by pulling the
front hand guard back toward the front han-
dle as far as possible.

CHAIN TENSION

Itis normal for a new chain to stretch during fi rst
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLYsection.
WARNING:Muffler is very hotduring
and after use. Do not touch the muffler or al-
low combustible material s uch as dry grass
or fuel to do so.
