OPERATINGTHE COUPLER

Your powerhead is equipped with a coupler
which enables optional attac hments to be
installed. The optional attachments are:
MODEL:
Edger PP1000E.......................
Cultivator PP2000T...................
Brushcutter PP4000C.................
WARNING: Always disconnect pow-
erhead spark plug (or disconnect powerhead
frompower source) before removing or instal-
ling attachments.

REMOVING ATTACHMENT

CAUTION: When removing or installing at-
tachments, place the unit on a flat surface for
stability.
1. Loosen the coupler by turning the knob
counterclockwise.

2. Pressand hold the locki ng/release button.

3. While securely holding the upper tube,
pull the attachment straight out of the
coupler.

INSTALLINGATTACHMENT

1. Remove the tube cap from the attach-
ment (if present) and discard.
2. Position locking/release but ton of attach-
mentint o guide recess of upper tube cou-
pler.

3. Pushthe attachment int othe c oupler until
the locking/release button snapsinto the
primary hole.
4. Beforeusing the unit , tighten the knob se-
curely by turning clockwise.

INSTALLINGATTACHMENT

HANGER

Anat tachment hanger is prov ided for storage
whenattachment isnotin use. To install hang-
er on attachment:
1. Remove the tube cap from the attach-
ment (if present) and discard.
2. Press and hold the locking/release but-
ton.
3. Push hanger onto the attachment until
the locking/release button snapsinto the
hole.

OPERATINGPOSITION

ALWAYSWEAR:
WARNING: Inspect the area before
using the unit. Remove all debris and hard
objects such as rocks, glass, wire,etc., that
can ricochet, be thrown, or otherwise cause
injury or damage during operation.
Use your blower attachment f or:
SSweeping debris or grass clippings from
driveways, sidewalks, patios, etc.
SBlowing grass clippings, straw,or leaves into
piles, or removing debris from corners,
around joints, or between bricks.
Control air flow by directing the blower dis-
charge opening down or to one side. Always
work away from solid objects such as walks,
large stones, vehicles, and fences.
Cleancorners by starting in corners and moving
outward.This will help prevent an accumulat ion
of debris which could fly into your face.
Becareful when working near plants. The force
of the air could damage tender plants.
