oiloutput is aut omatically metered during op-
eration.Alw ays fill the bar oil tank before and
duringus e as needed (capacity = 4.6 fl. oz.) .
GenuinePoulan bar and chain oil is recom-
mended to protect your unit against exces-
sive wear from heat and friction. Poulan oil
resists high temperature thinning.
If Poulan bar and chain oil is not available,
use a good grade SAE 30 oil.
SNever use waste oil for bar and c hain lubri-
cation.
SAlways stop the unit before removing the oil
cap.

1. Loosen the coupler by turning t he knob
counterclockwise.

3. Whiles ecurely holding the motor housing
and upper shaft, pull the attachment
straight out of the coupler.

2. Position locking/release button of attach-
mentint o guide recess of coupler.
3. Push the attachment into the coupler until
the locking/release button snaps into the
primary hole.
4. Beforeus ing the unit, tighten the knob s e-
curely by turning clockwise.

INSTALLINGATTACHMENT

HANGER

Anattachment hanger is prov ided for storage
when attachment is not in use.
Toinstall hanger on attachment:
1. Remove the shaft cap from the attach-
ment (if present) and discard.
2. Press and hold the lock ing/release button.
3. Push hanger onto the at tachment until the
locking/release button snaps into the hole.

Whenoperating unit , clip shoulder strap onto
clamp,s tand as shown and check for the fol-
lowing:
SExtendy our left arm and hold assist handle
with your left hand.
SHoldtrigger handle with your r ight hand with
finger on trigger switch.
SKeep motor end below waist level.
SKeep shoulder strap pad centered on your
left shoulder and danger sign centered on
your back.
SMaintain full weight of tool on your left
shoulder.
