10. Insert the ends of the lines throughexit
holes in the sides of the cover.

11. Reinstall the spool and cover onto the
trimmerhead. Push until c over snaps into
place.

REPLACING THE TRIMMERHEAD

1. Hold the dust cup w ith a wrench to keep
theshaft from turning while removing and
installing trimmer head.

2. Remove trimmer headby turning coun-
terclockwise (looking from bottom of
unit).
3. Thread r eplacement trimmer head onto the
shaft by turning clockwise. Only tighten
hand tight!

EDGER BLADE REPLACEMENT

WARNING : The blade will continue
to spin after the engine stops or after the
throttle trigger has been released. Toavoid
serious injury, make sure the blade has
stopped coasting and disconnect the spark
plug before performing work on the blade.
WARNING : Wear protective gloves
when handling or performing maintenance on
theblade to av oid injury. The blade is shar pand
can cut you even when it is not moving.
1. Toremove the blade, align hole in t hedus t
cup with the hole in the side of the gear-
box by rotating the blade.
2. Insert a s mall screwdriver into aligned
holes. This will keep the shaft from turn-
ingw hile loosening the blade nut.

3. While holding the sc rewdriver in position,
remove blade nut by turning clockwise.
4. Remove both washer s, and theblade
from the blade shaft.

5. Install new blade onto blade s haft.
6. Reinstall both washer s and blade nut
(counterclockwise).
7. Tighten blade nut firmly w ith a wrench
while holding screwdriver in position.
8. Remove the screw driver.
9. Turn blade by hand. If the blade binds
against the shield, or appears to be un-
even, the blade is not centered, and you
must reinstall.
