THROTTLE LEVER

TheTHROTT LE LEVER is used to select the
desiredengine speed and to stop the engine.
Movethe throttle lever to the positionfor
full speed operation. Movethe t hrottlelev er
tothe positionfor idle speed. Tostopthe
engine, move the throttle lever to the STOP
position.

PRIMER BUTTON

The PRIMER BUTTON removes air from the
carburetor and fuel lines and fills them with f uel.
Thisallowsyoutostarttheenginewithfewer
pullson the starter rope. Activ ate primer button
bypressing it and allowing it to return to its origi-
nal position.

CHOKE LEVER

The CHOKE helps to s upply fuel to the engine
toaidincoldstarting.Activatethechokeby
moving the choke lever to the FULL CHOKE
position.After engine attempts to start , move the
choke lever to the HALF CHO KE position.
Once engine starts, move choke lever to the
RUN position.

OPERATINGTIPS

SWhile vacuuming or blowing debris, hold
the unit with the muffler side facing away
fromyour body and clothes (see OPERAT-
ING POSITION illustration above).
STo reduce the risk of hearing loss
associated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.
STo reduce the risk of injury associated w ith
contacting rotating parts, stop the engi ne be-
fore installing or removing attachments. D o
not operate without guard(s) in place.
SOperate power equipment only at reas onable
hours--notearly in the morning or l ate at night
whenpeople might be dis turbed. Comply with
times listed in local ordinances. U sual recom-
mendations are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday though Saturday.
SToreduce noise levels , limit the number of
pieces of equipment used at any one time.
STo reduce noise levels, operate power
blowers at the lowest possible throttle
speed to do the job.
SUserak es and brooms to loosen debris be-
fore blowing.
