WARNING: If received assembled,

1. Loosen and remove the chain brake
nutsand the c hain brake from the saw.
2. Remove the plastic shipping spacer (if
present).

3. An adjusting pin and screw is used to ad -
just the tension of the chain. It is very im -
portant when assembl ing the bar, that the
pin located on the adjusting screw aligns
intoa hole i n thebar. Turning the screw wil l
movethe adjustm entpi n up anddown the
screw. Locate this adjustment before you
begin mounting the bar onto the sa w.See

4. Turnthe adjusting screw by hand coun-
terclockwise until the adjusting pin just
touches thes top.T his should allow the
pin to be nearthe cor rect position.
5. Slide guide bar behind clutch dr um until
guide bar stops against clutch drum
sprocket.

age. Hold chainwith the drive links as
