Any electromechanical device occasionally requires some troubleshooting. However, most of the problems
that may arise can usually be solved with a bit of thought and common sense. Many of these problems
occur because the batteries are not fully charged, or because the batteries are worn down and can no longer
hold a charge.
What if all the systems on my Legend seem to be dead?
nMake certain that the key is fully inserted in the key switch.
nCheck that the batteries are fully charged. See VI. Batteries and Charging.
nPush in the reset button to reset the main circuit breaker. See V. Your Legend.
nMake certain that both black and white battery harnesses are firmly connected. See IX. Disassembly

Legend.
What if the main circuit breaker repeatedly trips? See V. Your Legend.
nCharge the Legends batteries more frequently. See VI. Batteries and Charging.
nIf the problem continues, have both of your Legends batteries load tested by your authorized Pride
provider.
nOr, battery load testers are available at most automotive parts stores.
nFollow the directions supplied with the load tester.
nSee VI. Batteries and Charging or IV. Specifications for information about your Legends bat-
tery type.
What if the battery condition meter dips way down and the motor surges or hesitates when I press
my Legends throttle control lever? See V. Your Legend.
nFully charge your Legends batteries. See VI. Batteries and Charging.
nHave your authorized Pride provider load test each battery.
nOr, see the previous troubleshooting question for load testing the batteries yourself.
