Viewing images using a personal computer

You can view data with your camera on a personal computer and attach This section describes the general method for viewing images on a per computer. Be sure to also see the operation manuals for your personal application software.

For Windows users

BViewing images with a personal computer connected with the USB cable (page 33)

You do not need to finalize the disc. You have to install the USB driver a software, DirectCD included in the supplied CD-ROM. For details on Dir refer to the software operating instructions of DirectCD.

CViewing images using a CD-R/CD-RW drive (page 37)

You do not need to finalize the disc. You have to install the software, Di included in the supplied CD-ROM.

For Macintosh users

Software

Data recorded with your camera is stored in the following formats. Make sure th applications that support these file formats are installed on your personal comp

Still image (except TEXT mode and uncompressed mode): JPEG format

Moving image/Voice memo: MPEG format

Uncompressed mode still image: TIFF mode

Still image in TEXT mode: GIF format.

Depending on your application software, the file size may increase when you o a still image file.

When you load an image modified using the supplied retouch software from yo personal computer to the camera, the image format will differ“FILEso the

ERROR” message may appear and you may be unable to open the file.
