Windows NT Driver Installation

(QL4000.SYS)

4.1

Supported Features

The Windows NT driver (QL4000.sys) supports the iSCSI features provided by the QLogic QLA40xx iSCSI PCI HBA. This driver works with the Windows NT (x86) release with SP6. Earlier versions of Windows NT and SP are not supported.

The following files are provided for installation of the Windows NT driver:

\NT4\NT4\README.TXT—Helpful hints about the driver

Be sure to review the README.TXT file for both new and changed information.

4.3

Creating the Driver Disk (Optional)

A driver disk is useful when installing the Windows NT driver. You can create the driver disk after downloading the driver from the QLogic web site.

Follow these steps to create driver disk from the QLogic web site:

1.Locate the driver you want on the QLogic web site (www.qlogic.com) and click Download.

2.When prompted Would you like to open the file or save it to your computer?, click the Save button. Specify a temporary location on the hard drive and download the driver.

3.Insert a blank disk in drive A.

4.Run the self-extracting file you just downloaded, specifying A:\ for Unzip To Folder.
