RECEIVING INCOMING CALLS

Caller ID is a service provided by your telephone company. When Caller ID is activated, the telephone company sends the caller’s telephone number (and name, if available) and the call’s date and time between the first and second rings. The Caller ID System 60 receives and displays this informa- tion for each call and updates the display with the current date and time. The display also indicates if caller information is not available or if the number is blocked by the sender (see “Display Messages” on Page 18).

If the system has received a call since the last time call records were reviewed, the NEW CALL indicator flashes and the call information appears.
