Keep the scanner dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately. Liquids can contain min- erals that can corrode the electronic cir- cuits.

Use only rechargeable batteries of the rec- ommended size and type. Always remove old and weak batteries. They can leak chemicals that destroy electronic circuits.
