Understanding Plasma

RCA Plasma is equipped with the ultimate in technology. The use of plasma, a mixture of rare gases that emulate the energy of the sun, makes it possible to achieve an image that is infinite in surface and quality.

Trapped between two glass plates and electronically activated, the plasma produces a controlled energy that is instantaneously transformed into color images by red, green and blue phosphors. The technique is all the more astonishing when you consider that the layer of gas is only 100 microns thick—one-tenth of a millimeter!

RCA combines this technology with the unique Capsulated Color Filter1 process: a grid of colored micro-filters positioned on the screen. The fidelity of the colors is so high, they are virtually identical to the colors in nature. In fact, they are indistinguishable.

The monitor is a high-performance XGA-compatible 42" plasma monitor designed for corporate applications including conference room meeting support, boardroom presentations, video conferencing and dynamic signage in building lobbies and shared areas. The CinemaScreenmonitor includes SYNCROSCANconversion technology for sharp, stable images up to XGA resolution and realistic color reproduction.

Capsulated Color Filter1 Technology Provides Realistic Color

Capsulated Color Filter1 (CCF) technology improves color response to provide the most realistic color rendering available in plasma monitors. CCF technology is a series of red, green and blue filters bonded within the panel’s front glass substrate. CCF optimizes the color spectrum of visible light emitted from the panel by attenuating unwanted spectral emissions associated with the ionization of gas within the individual pixels. CCF also incorporates a black matrix that helps the panel absorb external light, cuts down on reflections and improves the reproduction of black. The result is color that is more true to life, enhanced contrast and a screen image that is perceptibly superior to other plasma monitors.

Professional Color Management Control The CinemaScreenmonitor’s control system complements Capsulated Color Filter1 technology by allowing simple and accurate adjustment of on-screen color temperature settings through the monitor’s on-screen user menus. Select one of three preset color temperatures or “Pro Mode.” Select PM to set a customized color temperature to suit your specific application requirements or personal preferences.

SYNCROSCANConversion Technology Delivers High-Resolution Image Quality The SYNCROSCANsystem of the CinemaScreenmonitor automatically delivers high-resolution pixel mapping from sources up to XGA resolution. This high-performance system displays computer graphics with superior accuracy and stability. This results in a screen image with excellent clarity from the highest resolution sources.

Stereo Amplifier Built-in amplifier enhances stereo performance and can power optional left/right or surround speakers.

Convenience

Advanced On-Screen Menu System

On-screen displays make it easy to adjust most picture, sound, and convenience features from either the remote control or the TV front-panel buttons.

Remote

Universal Remote Control CRK76TUL1/CRK76TQL1 New ergonomic design and color-coded buttons provide complete TV operation plus control of the primary functions of virtually every brand of remote-controllable VCR, satellite system, and cable box. Also controls most functions of RCA DVD players. Frequently-used buttons illuminate for easier nighttime use.

The RCA HD/Digital Receiver adds to the superior picture

quality of plasma.
